Dumpster Rental Park Township MI

Park Township wraps the north side of Lake Macatawa and runs west to the big lake, which makes it one of the areas we serve most often and one of the most varied. Year-round subdivisions off Lakewood Boulevard, seasonal property out toward Ottawa Beach, and everything in between. Short haul, so scheduling in Park Township is rarely the hard part.

Roll-off containers for Park Township homes and businesses

Two housing markets share the same township here. Inland you have established year-round neighbourhoods, ranch and colonial stock from the sixties through the nineties, mature trees and paved drives. Toward the water it turns into lakeshore property, some seasonal, much of it being rebuilt or heavily renovated. The subgrade changes just as fast, from workable soil inland to straight dune sand near Ottawa Beach. Holland State Park pulls summer traffic through the middle of it all, which is mainly a scheduling problem for us in July and August.

Inland it is bread-and-butter residential: kitchen remodels, basement finishing, roof tear-offs, and the cleanout that happens when a long-time owner finally moves. Closer to the water we see whole-house renovations and teardown rebuilds running several containers over a few months. Deck replacements are constant. There is also a steady trickle of storm work, since the lakeshore takes the brunt of the wind and the trees out here are old and tall.

Getting to Park Township

Most runs start north out of the yard on River Avenue, then west on Lakewood Boulevard or Ottawa Beach Road depending on the address. Ottawa Beach Road is the one that carries us all the way to the state park end. In summer we time those deliveries early, before beach traffic backs the road up, and in winter we watch it for drifting where the road runs open to the lake.

Dumpster rental in Park Township — FAQs

How does the sandy soil out toward Ottawa Beach affect where you set the can?

It rules out the lawn. Sand near the lakeshore looks solid and is not, so every container out there goes on a drive or a hard pad. The upside is that sandy drives shed water and do not hold frost the way clay does, so we rarely get the spring mud problems we see inland. We still put boards down to protect the surface.

Is there a good time of year to renovate a lakeshore place in Park Township?

Fall through early spring, if you can swing it. Traffic on Ottawa Beach Road is light, contractors have more availability, and our schedule is open. The trade-off is lake-effect snow, which hits harder here than four miles inland. Keep a plowed spot for the container and winter work goes fine. July deliveries are possible but we do them early.

Can you drop a container before the contractor starts and leave it a while?

Yes, and plenty of jobs out here run that way. We will set it where you want ahead of the crew and leave it for the duration, swapping as it fills. Just think about where it sits for weeks rather than for the first day, because a container parked in front of the garage stops being clever around day three.

We are clearing brush and downed trees after a windstorm. One load?

Not mixed with construction debris, no. Michigan keeps yard waste out of landfills, so limbs, brush and stumps need their own handling. If the storm took down a tree and part of the roof with it, that is genuinely two different piles. Call us with what you have and we will tell you how to split it before you drag anything to the curb.
