Roll-off dumpster delivered in West Olive, MI by EAD Dumpster Rentals

Roll-off containers for West Olive homes and businesses

Unincorporated and spread across Port Sheldon and Olive Township ground, with no real downtown to speak of. What there is: wooded acreage, homes on large lots set well back from the road, cottages and year-round houses around Pigeon Lake, and dune property closer to the big lake. Some of it is second homes, much of it is not. Trees are the constant, which means falling limbs, roof damage and a steady supply of storm work. Sandy ground near the shore turns to something heavier a couple of miles inland.

Storm and tree cleanup shows up here more than almost anywhere else we serve, along with the roof and siding repairs that follow it. Cottage renovations around Pigeon Lake run spring and fall. On the bigger wooded parcels we handle outbuilding teardowns, garage clearouts and construction debris from new houses going up on lots that were woods a year ago. Deck rebuilds are constant, since untreated wood does not last long in this climate.

Dumpster rental in West Olive — FAQs

Our driveway is a wooded lane. What clearance does your truck need?

Figure at least fourteen feet of overhead clearance and twelve feet of width, because the box goes up on the hoist before it comes off the rails. Low branches over a wooded drive are the single most common reason we cannot reach a house out here. Trim what you can before the delivery, or we will set the container at the road end.

Where should the container go if the house has a well and septic?

Away from both. On rural lots we keep the container off the drain field and off the line running to it, since concentrated weight on those lines does real damage. Point out the field and the well head when we arrive, or mark them beforehand. Nine times out of ten the driveway apron works and there is nothing to worry about.

Can you deliver to a Pigeon Lake cottage when nobody is staying there?

Yes, we do unattended drops all the time. What we need is a clear placement instruction, ideally a photo with the spot marked, and confirmation nothing will be parked there. We send a photo back once it is set so you can see exactly where it landed. Same for pickup, you do not need to be on site.

A storm took down two trees. Can you take the wood?

Not in a mixed load. Michigan's yard waste rules keep logs, limbs and brush out of the landfill, so downed trees need a chipper or a composting outfit. If the tree also took out a section of roof or a shed, that debris is ours and we will haul it. Call and describe the mess and we will tell you what goes where.
